A Program Born from Passion & Purpose
My name is Kyle Haller, founder of Comets AAA Hockey. As a parent of two hockey players and a coach for over eight years, I created the Comets after seeing a real need for more competitive girls’ hockey opportunities in Central Minnesota. I’ve spent most of my life in rinks, and supporting young female athletes has become a true passion.
My coaching experience includes Mites through Peewees, boys AAA, 8U/10U girls hockey, and Midwest Selects, along with team manager experience that taught me what families value most: communication, organization, and a positive environment.
Hockey is a big part of our family — we’ve been St. Cloud State season ticket holders for over 35 years and have attended eight Frozen Four tournaments.
Why I Started the Comets
Girls in Central Minnesota have limited options to play all-girls hockey in the spring and summer. Many programs are co-ed, expensive, or lack structure. I wanted to build something better.
Comets AAA was founded to provide:
- A competitive all-girls environment
- Affordable fees that support multi-sport families
- Strong communication and organized scheduling
Thanks to generous sponsors, we were even able to provide custom jerseys and socks at no cost last season.
We’ve welcomed players from Becker, Big Lake, Princeton, Rogers, St. Michael, Monticello, and St. Cloud, and we’ve competed in MASH against top AAA teams from the Minneapolis metro — and proved we can compete.
Comets AAA exists to grow girls’ hockey in Central Minnesota — keeping it competitive, fun, and accessible for every family.
