Comets Girls Hockey

We’re excited for the upcoming Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 seasons and welcome girls from all hockey associations! We fully support multi-sport athletes and understand that families are busy and players may have other commitments. Our goal is to provide a great value and a flexible, positive experience for all participants. Below is more information about the program.

Ages

We are seeking competitive 10U and 12U girls for the upcoming Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 seasons. Girls eligible for 10U during the 2026-27 season will be eligible to participate in the MASH Fall League, and we are also looking to add a 12U team as our program continues to grow. For Spring 2027 tournaments, we will follow USA Hockey age classifications while also competing in the Spring MASH League. As interest continues to increase, we will be looking to add additional players to both age levels. If your daughter is looking for extra development, competition, and a positive team environment, please reach out for more information. If you know a player or family who may be a good fit, we would appreciate you passing this information along.

When

The Comets compete in the MASH (Minnesota All-Star Hockey) Spring League, which runs from late March through the end of May and includes a minimum of eight games. We also participate in the MASH Fall League, which runs from late July through mid-September and includes approximately 4–6 games, wrapping up before winter hockey pre-skates begin. In addition, we plan to enter at least one AAA tournament in the Minneapolis metro area each spring, with the possibility of adding more tournaments based on player interest and roster availability. For additional information about the league and its format, please visit the MASH link located in our Resources section.

Where

For the 2026-2027 seasons, the Comets will compete in the MASH League. Games will be played throughout the Minneapolis Metro area, with most taking place in the North Metro.

Practices

The Comets typically hold 1–2 practices during the Fall season and at least 3 practices during the Spring season. Additional practices may be added based on ice availability, player interest, and team needs. Practices are generally held in Monticello or Rogers.

Games

The Comets compete in both the MASH (Minnesota All-Star Hockey) Spring and Fall Leagues. The Spring season runs from late March through the end of May and includes a minimum of eight games. The Fall season runs from late July through mid-September and typically includes 4–6 games, concluding before winter hockey pre-skates begin. In addition to league play, we plan to participate in at least one AAA tournament in the Minneapolis metro area each spring, with the possibility of adding additional tournaments based on player interest and roster availability. For more information about MASH and its programs, please visit the MASH link in our Resources section.

Jerseys

Thanks to our generous sponsors, we were able to provide custom reversible jerseys and socks at no cost to our players. Our goal is to continue offering these each season to help keep the program affordable for all families.
